ITST – Transition Coupler
INSTALLATION:
1 – Upset and thread the end of the reinforcing bars using INCON’s forging and threading machine.
2 – Screw the ITST Coupler by rotating it clockwise on the threads of one of the reinforcing bars.
3 – Align the second bar and screw it inside the coupler until the connection is completely secured.
CONFIGURATION:
ITST Coupler is composed of a steel tube, which has two different internal thread sizes that accommodate threaded bars of different diameters.
MAIN APPLICATION:
ITST Coupler is widely used for general construction applications where the rotation and axial movement of at least one bar is allowed.
Features:
Satisfies the requirements of Type 2 couplers for use with Grade 60 reinforcing bars.
Conforms to major building codes and standards including ACI 318, CSA A23.3, BS 8110 and DIN 1045.
Easily installed and highly efficient for connecting bars of different diameters on site.
Accurate splice length control due to the precise coupler joint.
Compact design of the coupler to reduce reinforcement congestion.
